In Islamic Online Madrasah, an examination of 100 marks is held for each subject. The total marks are divided into several parts. The assessment method is given below:-

- Attendance - 10% Out of 100 marks for each subject, 10 marks are given for attendance. That is, if you attend every class, you will get 10 marks. When attending classes via the Zoom app, attendance is counted only if you join with your roll number. Note that attendance is counted separately for each subject.
- Class Test - 20% Generally, a class test is held after the completion of 7 classes (more or less). Class tests carry 20 marks. Usually, the class test is of 30 marks. Some subjects, including Tajweed, have viva, while the rest are MCQ-based. MCQ exams can be taken on any of the days designated by Islamic Online Madrasah. However, viva exams must be taken at the scheduled time.
- Midterm - 30% Generally, a midterm exam is held after the completion of 15 classes (more or less). Midterms carry 30 marks. Usually, the midterm is of 50 marks. Some subjects, including Tajweed, have viva, while the rest are MCQ-based. MCQ exams can be taken on any of the days designated by Islamic Online Madrasah. However, viva exams must be taken at the scheduled time.
- Final - 40% The final exam is held after all classes are completed. The final exam carries 40 marks out of the total. Usually, the final is of 100 marks. Some subjects, including Tajweed, have viva, while the rest are MCQ-based. MCQ exams can be taken on any of the days designated by Islamic Online Madrasah. However, viva exams must be taken at the scheduled time.
Some Questions and Answers
What is the passing mark?
After the final exam, a total of 40% marks is required to pass. Only in Tajweed Tilawat, 70% marks are needed to pass. However, in both cases, it is mandatory to attend the final exam. You cannot pass without taking the final exam.
What happens if I fail an exam?
If you fail an exam or do not get the desired result, you will have to take a retake exam. To take a retake exam, you must pay a fee of 500 Taka per subject. To take the retake, contact the Exam Reset / Poor Fund department via support.
What should I do if I cannot take the exam at the scheduled time?
If you cannot attend the class test or midterm exam within the specified time, you can take the exam within 7 days after the MCQ exam ends by paying a late fee. However, for the final exam, there is no such extended time. You can take the exam within a maximum of 3 days after the MCQ exam ends.
By when do I need to pay the exam fee?
The deadline for paying the exam fee is announced a few days before the exam starts. You can pay the fee within the specified time.
Will sisters' viva be taken by a male teacher or a female teacher?
Sisters' viva is taken by their Mashq teacher. That is, sisters' viva is taken by female teachers, while brothers' viva is taken by male teachers (Ustadh).
How much is the exam fee?
There is no fee for the class test. The midterm exam fee is 300 Taka, and the final exam fee is 500 Taka.
If I do not take the exam in 1/2 subjects, can I continue to the next semester?
Yes, if you fail or do not take the exam in 1/2 subjects, you can continue to the next semester. However, in that case, you will need to pay the retake fee for those two subjects and take the retake, InshaAllah.

What should I do if I do not take the exam or fail in 3 or more subjects?
If you fail or do not take the exam in 3 or more subjects, you must continue your studies by taking readmission in the same semester.
If for some reason I cannot take any final exam, can I continue to the next semester?
If you cannot take the final exam for any reason, you will have to continue your studies by taking readmission in that semester again. There is no opportunity to continue in a new semester.
